Onto my cards.....  I had 3 of the new stamp sets to play with and this is what I have created for you

My first card uses the Thinking of You set.  I started of by stamping the word stamp onto ivory card using some Melon Mambo ink, and then die cut with a stitched rectangle, the butterfly stamp is from my stash,  (Happy Little Stampers have a fabulous little set of butterflies). I stamped it in Pacific Point ink and then fussy cut out.  I used a blender ben to colour in using Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise ink.  I love the font of this sentiments and think I will be using it lots!! i stamped it in Pacific Point.  I used some foam pads to mount the panel onto my card base.

My next card uses the same Thinking of You set and I have used memento Rich Cocoa ink for all the stamps. I created a little frame using stitched rectangle dies and then popped the little panel up with foam pads.  I added a little butterfly and sentiment all from the same set.

This is the 3rd card using the Thinking of You set, I have again stamped in memento Rich Cocoa I die cut both panels with a stitched rectangle die and mounted the Thanks onto my card with some foam pads.

I have used the Mix Mash set for this card.  I started off with a panel created with brusho's and then randomly stamped the circle stamps all over with some versa mark ink before brushing over some Perfect Pearls to create a bit of Bokeh effect.  The sentiment is from the same set.

For my next two cards I have used the Birthday Friends set.
For the first card I have used the little elephant stamp and added a balloon.  I coloured the image using promarkers and added a sentiment from the Mix Mash set.

I have used the cute little hippo stamp and again coloured with promakers.  The sentiment is from the same set.  I used some Pacific Point ink for the banner and also for under the hippo's feet.

I hope I have inspired you today with my cards. The designers and I have had so much fun playing with these stamps! Next you need to hop on over to
Carol Steadmans blog.

Happy Halloween

To day is the start of a new challenge over at Moving Along With The Times, and Amy from Team A as chosen 'Halloween'

I dont normaly do much Halloween so had to hunt a little for some stamps, this is what I came up with.  The background is a free digi (dont know where from), the bats are a memory box die, along with the broom stick, and the little witch is from Digi Stamp Boutique.
I printed the background onto some Vanilla card stock and then added some orange to the windows.  I then used a die namics blueprint die for the frame.  I have coloured the little witch with pencils and popped her up with some dimensionals.
I wrote the sentiment in some white gel pen.

this challenge will run for 2 weeks so look forward to seeing what you all create.

Happy Little Stampers Reminder post

Hello .... this is a Mid Month reminder to come and play along in the challenge

I have created a card using a Penny Black stamp.  I washed the background with some smoky grey ink and allowed to dry.  I painted the stamp with Real Red and Old Olive ink spritzed with a small amount of water before stamping my main flower, I then stamped my other 2 flowers without re inking.  I added some gold dots to the centre of my main flower and also some clear wink of stella to the leaves.  The sentiment is from the Happy Little Stampers Mixed Christmas Sentiment set and I used Old Olive, it doesn't seam to show up very well and I wish that I had used some gold embossing powder.

Christmas Card challenges

Hello ........... I can not believe that another week as flown by.  I have not been a very good blogger recently.  My dad is recovering at home now after his heart operation and they have at last sold there large family house and have managed to find a lovely little bungalow so I am busy helping to sort out over 50 years worth of household stuff.

Any way enough of the rambling and back to my post.  Today sees the start of a new challenge over at the Christmas Card Challenge and this week we have 'anything goes'

My card uses the edgelits from Stampin Up and I have created the background with a stencil and some gold sparkle medium which I have been playing with lots on my christmas cards. The sentiment is from the Mixed Christmas Sentiments from Happy Little Stamper.

Christmas Sparkle

Good evening ......... Today is the start of a new weekly challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges and this week we have a colour challenge for you.

I thought I would make a shaker card using some sequins that I had in my stash in the same colours.
The ornament die cut is from sizzix.  I picked up the glitter card at a recent visit to Hobby Craft.  The word Sparkle is from a Wplus9 die and I cut from glitter card and funky foam.  The little bow is a memory box die and I added a very thin strip of glitter card to make the string.
I stamped christmas sentiment in silver.

Poinsettia

For my card I have used Grunge Stamp set and Reason for the Season stamp set,
 both from stampin up.
I started by stamping the lines in versa mark and added gold embossing powder, I then stamped my poinsettia onto white card in versa mark and again heat embossed in gold, then fussy cut out.
I used gold cording trim from Stampin Up for the 3 loops, and added 3 gold sequins.
The sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers mixed christmas sentiments set.
